Microsoft Windows 10 Insider preview users will get final build for free

Those Insider users who have registered their PCs will get the Windows 10 Build on July 29

Microsoft has announced that those who users who are part of the Windows 10 Insider programme, and have installed build 10130 will get the new Windows 10 update for free and won’t have to re-install the OS.
According to Microsoft’s blogspot, users will have to connect their Microsoft Account (MSA) that they have registered with the Windows 10 Insider Preview programme to their PC. Those Insider users who have registered their PC will then get the Windows 10 Build on July 29. What this means is that even those users who have installed from ISO, will find that their Windows 10 release Build is genuine and they won’t have re-install or activate the OS again.
Microsoft says they are “introducing new infrastructure in Windows Update to help us deliver new builds more effectively to Windows Insiders, and ensure that we’re flighting builds to people who have registered and opted in to the program.”
The key point to note: The Free direct Windows 10 Build is only for those who are part of the Windows Insider Program and also only those running genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 can upgrade to Windows 10 as part of the free upgrade offer.
Microsoft says the Windows Insiders will continue to receive future flights as well. Also the next build that is coming for Windows Insiders will replace Project Spartan with Microsoft Edge. Users need to save the data on Project Spartan as it will all get deleted once the app is replaced.
Windows 10 is officially launching on July 29. For users running genuine Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 versions, the upgrade is free. But those on pirated version of the OS will have to shell out $119 for the Home version and $199 for Windows 10 Professional, which is around Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,000 respectively.
